Different Complexion Shouldn’t Mean Different Treatment

In today’s day and age, the judgment that we receive as people seems to be based solely on our skin complexion. It literally comes down to a scale where the lighter you are the more fairly you are treated and the darker you are the more prejudice you face. This even spawns asinine sayings such as “white is right” and “black is whack”. Unfortunately, this is an unwritten “rule” that unrightfully affects plenty of people in varies ways.

How is it that mental illness has become the elephant in the room in today’s society? Millions of people in the world suffer from some type of mental illness but yet so little is done to help them. I find it difficult to understand why beat around the bush whenever this topic comes up in discussion. Some people would rather go for the limbs than the head but that’s just a temporary relief to a bigger issue.

September 20th, 2016

These past few weeks have been nothing but unreal and hectic. I believe the last time I did a post like this I was talking about moving back home to New York. Well, as of last week I can say that I’m officially a New Yorker again. I’m still semi-living out of suitcases but hopefully I can get that situated…eventually. The Cost of Knowledge

I’ve had a lot of discussions about the education system here in America and lately it has left me with more questions than answers. The thing about our education system that I wonder about the most is why does it cost so much just to be able to obtain it? Whenever I hear about other countries and their free education I wonder why that can’t be the same here in America. Even if other countries did charge their citizens for education, it’s nowhere close to the amount that we have to pay.

Can We Get a Do Over?

If you’re anything like myself, you’re not excited about the presidential candidates this year. It’s just something about both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump that makes supporting them unappealing. And this makes me unsure on whom to vote for or even if I should vote at all this year. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as myself so can we just get new candidates and start from scratch?
