Growing Pains

This is something that is often associated with children during their growing phase. But something crossed my mind as I was thinking about this and that is we are still in that phase. As adults, I’m talking more so our mentality and who we are as a person never really comes to a full stop.

We are constantly working on ourselves as we try to find ourselves and our way through life. Especially young adults such as myself. I feel like we’ve only just begun as at this point we are learning just how the real world actually work. For some the easy way, for others the hard. Regardless of the method, it’s a never ending learning curve.

How often do you hear someone say, “I’m not the same person I was this time last year?” A lot can happen in a year when you think about it. It varies from our experiences, self realization, personal legends, etc. These are things that shape us as people and the image we portray in the world. And as we live they can change depending on what we’ve gone through in life.

I understand that change can be a difficult thing for some to handle. Despite that, it’s something that we shouldn’t fear and avoid. It’s a process that we all go through and no one is the master of. It’s the only way that we can shape ourselves into someone who we feel the most comfortable being. Growing as a person is only painful when we don’t welcome the growth with open arms.

Embrace your growth.
